Right-click
on the eTrust AV software icon in the system tray (area where system clock
resides) and choose Version
Information. (See Figure 1 below.)
Note : If you do
not see the icon in the system tray, activate it by clicking on Start
--> Programs --> Computer Associates --> eTrust --> eTrust AntiVirus -->
RealTime Monitor

The date under Last Update
should be today's date for both InoculateIT and Vet. (See Figure 2 below.)

If the Last Update is not
today's date,
right-click
on the eTrust AV software icon in the system tray and choose Download
Signature Now. (Refer to Figure 1.)

Repeat step 1 and 2. If the Last Update is
still not current, contact the IT Department. Otherwise proceed to Step 5.

Right-click
on the eTrust AV software icon in the system tray and choose Launch
eTrust Antivirus. (See Figure 1.)

Inside the eTrust window on the
left pane, select the Local Disk drive(s). (See Figure 3 below.)

- Click
the green arrow button to start the san. The scan will take about 20 minutes.

If eTrust sites
any specific infections (not "Open Errors") notify the IT department right away
and show them the results of the scan you just performed.
